As part of the exhibition Spheres of Influence: Glass Across UW, the Center for Design and Material Culture is excited to partner with the UW-Madison Glass Lab to offer this two-part workshop. By registering for glass blowing, you are also securing your spot for terrarium building!

Part 1: Glass blowing:
Saturday, February 22, 9am-11:30am
UW-Madison Glass Lab

Participants will work with technicians from the UW-Madison Glass Lab to blow their own glass terrarium.

Part 2: Terrarium building:
NEW DATE: Thursday, March 6, 4:30pm-6:30pm
NEW LOCATION: Nancy Nicholas Hall, room 2194A

Participants will learn about soil health from a Soil and Environmental Science graduate student using the Truog Soil Test featured in Spheres of Influence. She will then lead them through adding plants and substrate to the glass terrarium they blew. Thank you to the DC Smith Greenhouse for providing our plants.
