Join us in the WIP Lab to learn the basics of twining basketry from artist Ann B. Coddington, whose work is displayed in Threads: Natural Fiber and Living Lines. In this workshop, Ann will teach participants the twining technique that she uses on many of her works, including the “Work in Progress” piece that she has been making during the exhibition and share more about her artistic practice. Participants will make their own small, twined object using waxed linen thread.
Materials will be provided. All skill levels are welcome.
Space is limited. Please sign up so we know you are coming!
Note! This workshop will take place on FRIDAY afternoon, rather than our usual Thursday afternoon!
You are also welcome to explore the other materials available in the WIP Lab or bring your own project to work on whenever the gallery is open.
