Emma MacLaughlin-Barck

Ruth Davis Design Gallery, Nancy Nicholas Hall
@ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join Design Studies student Emma MacLaughlin-Barck staff in the Work In Progress (WIP) Lab to learn visible mending techniques. “In this workshop, get a brief introduction to various visible mending techniques, with an emphasis on darning and patchwork. We will learn how visible mending can be used to create art and function. These techniques are commonly used to repair garments but can also be applied to other textiles. Feel free to bring an item to mend, or scrap fabric if you just want to practice these skills.”

Emma’s tutorials on visible mending techniques will start at 2 and staff available to assist you until 5.

Space is limited. Please sign up so we know you are coming!
